What is Restorative Yoga?
Restorative Yoga is a slow, meditative and completely supported yoga asana class. This means that while we will be accessing the physical body using different yoga postures (asana), we are passively held in each posture by our props. This allows us to access deeper connective tissue layers, while also giving us the space to practice various meditation techniques, including pranayama (breath-work) practices.
This class is especially beneficial to those who are healing from a recent injury or sickness, may be in need of “slowing down”, and/or need tangible ways to destress. This practice is perfect for those looking to take their asana practice to the deeper emotional and spiritual levels and is safe for prenatal practitioners and/or those with limited abilities.
